About

Meridan Community Church…

Meridan Community Church is a soul-winning and disciple-making church. We passionately believe that to do this, we must love and lead people to Jesus. We choose a posture of generosity, joy and humility in all that we do. We are proactive, initiative-takers who aren’t afraid to lead and love people at the point of their permission.

OUR MISSION

What We

Believe

We believe in the Divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.

We believe in the existence of one God in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Deity and Incarnation of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the second person in the Holy Trinity.

We believe in the fallen, sinful and lost position of mankind.

We believe in the salvation of mankind from judgement and the power of sin, through the perfect obedience of the Lord Jesus Christ, His atoning death, His resurrection from the dead, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His unchanging priesthood.

We believe in the immediate work of the Holy Spirit in the regeneration of mankind, in their sanctification, in their preservation to the Heavenly Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the empowering of His Church through His gifts.

We believe in the necessity of salvation through repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the final judgement of all mankind by the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the two ordinances of the Lord Jesus Christ – namely baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism, being the immersion of believers upon the profession of their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a symbol of the fellowship of the believer in His death, burial and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper, being a memorial until He comes and of the sacrifice of the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the urgent mandate our Lord gave to the Church to take the gospel of life to those yet outside His Kingdom.
